CareManagement Offers CE Ethics Credits to Meet CCM Requirements

ACCM provides at least one ethics CE article per year in CareManagement. You can earn at least 2 CEUs per year of ethics CE credits by reading and taking the exam in CareManagement online. That’s 10 ethics CEUs every 5 years, enough to meet the CCM requirements. Ethics CE exams are valid for 1 year.

CCMC and CDMS exams

You make take exams online or print and mail them. If you take the exam online, be sure to print your certificate after successfully completing the test. (Confirmation of successful completion will be emailed to you.)

Exams are valid 90 days from issue date. Exams that offer Ethics CE credit are valid for 1 year from the issue date.

  • You must be an ACCM member. Join now!
  • Click on the link contained in the issue for the exam you wish to take.
  • Enter the required login information NOTE: enter your name in a case sensitive manner such as Jane Doe.
  • You will have two attempts to achieve a passing score of 80%.
  • Be sure to have access to a printer in order to print your certificate after successfully completing the test; you cannot print it at a later date. ACCM cannot re-issue certificates.

Health Equity and Disability Issues in Diabetes Care #2

Health equity is achieved when every person has the opportunity to “attain his or her full health potential” and no one is “disadvantaged from achieving this potential because of social position or other socially determined circumstance.” Equity for people with diabetes is created and maintained by providers, health systems, and community, and fractures in such systems lead in inequity. This article presents the health barriers in achieving health equity in diabetes care and steps the case manager can address in overcoming those barriers.
